Steps to reproduce

Youtube and some other websites (but not all) are displaying gibberish on microsoft edge. Chrome and firefox are only displaying gibberish.
I checked a similar posting and although it seemed similar the discussion and remedies were far to hard for me to understand

  • I have a similar problem. I can’t open a new tab in Chrome at all - I have to use the history to access anything. Here is what it looks like.

  • Hi Helen, I ran “sfc /scannow” in CMD (Admin) this repairs Windows.

    dont worry that the URL says that it its for vista, it works for all Windows Versions fine.

  • What does '"not reproducible" mean?
    Tried Max’s fix, but does not work. Instead of writing congratulatory emails why doesnt James M from the Microsoft Edge team actually do something to help fix this problem. I dont think its unreasonable to expect some assistance?
    If Microsoft arent going to help please let me know so they dont waste my and other people’s time.

  • 7 days and not peep from the team at Microsoft. Appallingly bad service. If you can’t be bothered helping James M at least have the guts to say so. Rather than take the cowards ways and not respond. I don’t expect a response now. James M and his buddies at what you would laughingly call a helpdesk are probably sitting around laughing at my predicament showing complete contempt for not only me but all microsoft users whom they obviously have no respect or regard for.
