Some Registry entries are being deleted in upgrade from one Windows 10 OS version to another
Fixed Issue #14268426
Steps to reproduce
[phenomenon]
When installing Creators Update or Fall Creators Update, the following registry is deleted.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections\DefaultConnectionSettings
[Influence]
Registry related to Proxy under WOW6432Node seems to be referred to when communicating "Revocation confirmation of server certificate".
Since the proxy information is missing, communication of “Revocation confirmation of server certificate” fails.
[request]
Please correct the operation to delete the registry.
[Supplementary note]
Registry is added under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections\DefaultConnectionSettings", because the following policies are valid.
Computer Configuration
+Administrative Templates
+Windows Components
Make proxy settings per-machine (rather than per-user)
