Steps to reproduce

Hi,

The following Microsoft documentation website is broken on Edge Mobile:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/fluent-design-system/

Would be great to have this issue fixed.

    • The site reloads several times when scrolling through it. Then, Edge crashes or shows an error message.

      Thank you for providing this information about the issue. After thorough testing, we are unable to reproduce this problem in Edge. We will need a crash report and the error message.

      Please download debug diag from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49924 

      1. Once installed, open debug diag and select the rule type ‘Crash’ and click Next. 
      2. Under Select Target Type, select ‘A specific process’ and click Next. 
      3. Under Select a process, please select a MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe process and click Next. 
      4. In the Advanced Configuration, please just click Next. 
      5. Lastly, in the Rule Output Location, please choose and take note of the location where the dump file will be written; click Next then click Finish. 
      6. Reproduce the crash in Edge, and open the folder location from step 5 above. Locate the file ending in .dmp; please compress/zip the .dmp file(s) and attach it to this case.

      Thank you for providing additional information for testing.

      However, I’m unable to install the debug tool as the issue occurs on Edge Mobile only (firmware version 15254.1; Edge on Desktop is working fine). Is there a way to test it on Edge Mobile?

      Thank you for providing this update. Somehow I missed that this is exclusively a mobile issue. I am still not able to repro this on my phone with Edge 15254, but I am consulting with the mobile team for further investigation. We will update this case once we have more information.

    • Hi,

      Yes, it obviously doesn’t occur every time when opening this page. Today, I could just reproduce it once after navigating away and then back to the page.

      I think, the embedded videos could be the problem as I’ve already experienced this issue a while ago on another page:

      However, nobody every replied on this issue.
