Steps to reproduce

.main a { color: #f9812b }
.main a:visited { color: orangered }
.main a:hover { color: #b30000 }
.main a:active { color: transparent; text-shadow: 2px 2px 0 #b30000 }

Lets say you hold the left mouse button down and then select a few letters in a word or paragraph… The problem is that color:transparent is not implemented. That’s wrong.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for providing this information about the issue. After thorough testing, we are unable to reproduce this problem in Edge. I have attached a sample which we use to test the problem.

    If you still have the trouble, please provide a full sample along with expected results compared to actual results. Screenshots or video capture might be necessary to show these results.

  • No. It does it. I may have described the problem wrong.

    Highlight half of the word, and then hold the left mouse down on the link. The highlighted part of the word does not implement transparent.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for providing this update. I was highlighting and releasing the mouse button, then clicking and dragging the link to repro. I think instead I should highlight and not release the moues button to see the problem.

    I have attached a video of what I suspect shows the problem you are reporting; I also notice transparent is not implemented at all in Chrome and Firefox. If this is correct, please let me know.

    Best Wishes,

  • Sure, whatever you want.

    And just to keep you on your toes:

    If a user mouseouts on an image that has a translateY set, and then another layer is added, lets say a position:absolute div, that image will appear on top of the div.

    I’ll just call it ignored hacking.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for providing an update. Please open a new case for the new issue you describe.

    As for the original problem, will you please confirm the video attached does show the bug you are reporting?

    Best Wishes,
