EXPECTED:
I actually thought it was a real link and was surprised it didn’t take to that websites page for that number.

ACTUAL
It prompts for the app to use - these included People app, Skype, and Chrome. No Edge option.

  • I am curious, does this cause any problems other than it is an invalid IP/URL?

  • It just gives a false impression to user that it is clickable, and it is not consistent across systems other than that it doesn’t create any problem.

    I did notice that Google search has the same behavior.  Where have you seen this behave differently?

  • I have seen this first on our application, we have a column with subnet mask, which was inconsistent across machines.
