Steps to reproduce

If you have a flex container in column mode with a flex item that has no width set but has margin: auto (and naturally, the container defaults to align-items: stretch), then IE11 ignores margin: auto and instead follows align-items: stretch, thereby making the flex item horizontally fill the container.

The standard states that the flex item should not be stretched if either of the cross-axis margins are auto, so this is incorrect behavior.

    • It would be great to have this fixed. So many people are still using IE due to their work environments or public libraries. I encountered this bug today when customizing a website with margin: auto;.
