  • Hi Paul,

Will you provide a simplified repro for this?  Include all required files (and minimal code needed to repro) for the extension, E.g manifest file ,etc.  A simplified repro significantly improves the investigation time and the probability that a fix, if needed, gets into an upcoming release.

Appreciate the submission and the help,

    Steve

  • Hi Steven,
I upload a simple code and some screenshot about this issue.

  • Excellent.  I will take a look now.

  • Is your default new tab a blank page?

  • I see from your screenshot that it is not a blank page but is Edge’s default homepage.

I am not able to repo this issue on 16299.19, even if I set the new tab to a blank page.  Can you give me the extended version of Windows 10 you are using?  Win + S type ‘winver’ and hit enter.

I will look for previous bug reports that might have resolved this issue,

    Steve

  • I found a couple related issues that have all been resolved related to your bug report.  Here is one example:

Are you able to run this test using a more recent Windows 10 build?  We offer free developer images for such usage.  Also, we have the insider releases.
