Steps to reproduce

Under Edge/15.15063 In our case, we have a big complicated server-side process that produces a rather enormous PDF file. The server-side script is being hit twice, and this means that instead of it taking over 20 seconds (just about bearable), it takes twice that time to download and render in Edge - plus of course, the doubled server load from running two parallel queries.

Edge issues two requests whenever you view a PDF. To me, it looks like the browser is sending the initial request and then the PDF viewer is issuing its own request when it is opened. If you look at the headers in that second request, you’ll see an odd DLNA header coming down .

Request Microsoft to resolve this issue in next version of EDGE.

    • I am trying to display PDF in an iframe but it takes more than 2 mintues to display the PDF then I came to know that it is a Bug of Microsoft Edge and earlier also people reported about it.
      Microsoft Team claims that they have fixed in 15063 but they haven’t tested it. it’s still there.
      What kind of support are they providing it’s still a question to be answered by Microsoft?
      Why we have to find hack to resolve this ?
      Microsoft resolve this !!! We have paid enough to move on to Windows 10 now these buggy softwares. Just can’t buy it.

    • We are seeing a simular problem in our solution. When opening a PDF in a new window/tab a second request is sent from Edge.
      We have also observed it in a later version 16.16299.
      The second request does not have all cookies we need in our backend causing other problems.
      At the moment we are recommending our customers not to use Edge.
      Please resolve this!
