Steps to reproduce

The Indic Tool Keyboards (like Google Indic Tools), don’t work only with the Edge Browser i.e Win Key+Shift doesn’t change the Language from ENG to Installed Indic Tools Language.

But, the same works fine with all versions of IE and non-Microsoft Browsers.

This is the reference of Indic Tool Language pack (& not the pack which is available by default in Windows10, that’s too complex for normal use) = https://www.google.com/inputtools/windows/

UPDATE by MS EDGE TEAM

Use WinKey + Space to change the Language.

    • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. The IME’s greyed-out in the language switcher are built for the legacy text input framework called IMM32. That framework is not supported in modern apps like Edge and UWA since Windows 8.

Currently, we do not plan to release a fix for this bug. Please reopen this case if you can provide new information for us to consider.

      Best Wishes,
      The MS Edge Team
