Steps to reproduce
On desktop, using touch input, if you start to perform the gesture to go back to the previous page, by swiping from left to right, but lift off to cancel, then do the same again on an element with the CSS property
touch-action set to
none, the gesture will begin, as before, but the ‘pointercancel’ event will not be fired for the element or any ancestor.
The behaviour seems to be different in a pen/iframe, so I have created a GitHub page which prints to the console when ‘pointercancel’ fires.
