Steps to reproduce

Environment:
Java8, Selenium 3.7.1, EdgeDriver Release 16299, Edge 41.16299.15.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to any page that opens alert on closing window.
  2. Run driver.quit() method.

Actual result:
Alert that blocks page closing appears, driver.quit() hangs forever.

Expected result:
driver.quit() should throw org.openqa.selenium.UnhandledAlertException if closing window is blocked by alert
