Steps to reproduce

I’m happy to see the new support for position:sticky, but it seems to fail at a fundamental level. Take this extremely simple test:

https://codepen.io/fchristant/pen/oorKWE

Open this page in Edge, and scroll down very fast. You can see the sticky bar dissapearing and re-appearing. It doesn’t seem to update fast enough, or only when scrolling stops.

This issue seems very similar to old Safari versions, which did not update fixed and sticky elements until the scroll event was done.

This is not expected behavior. Chrome and Firefox both keep the sticky element tightly positioned without any rendering glitches or delays.

    • Heh, that is great to hear, thanks!
When will this be available to non-insiders? Do we have to wait for a big Windows update before getting this?

    • Hello,

Thank you for providing this update. This fix is only available for insiders until the public push. We recently started pushing the 16299 release, so I expect the current insider preview to be pushed around spring of 2018.

      Best Wishes,
