Steps to reproduce

After a year of using chrome i decided to comeback and give edge a try, here what i found
Load fast
Light weight
Consume little resources compare to other browsers
The speed when you type (Vietnamese) look kinda slow and make me feel like a little laggy
When typing fast some word will be double which lead to mistake while typing. For example:
When i type mỗi sometime its turn into mỗỗi , or mượt turn into mợợt
Sometime the letter is lost eventhough i already typed it. For example
When i type thêm its suddenly turn into them , dùng turn into dung
The issues i found while i was using facebook on edge and type with unikey to type Vietnamese.

    • Hello,

Thank you for providing this update about the issue. It appears this problem is caused by spellcheck triggering in the textarea, and a workaround is to set the spellcheck attribute to false. You can test this at

We will consider a solution for Edge and post our results here.

    • I still cannot type properly in Vietnamese on Edge. Same problem

    • Hi!

This issue has been resolved as “External” which means that we have determined that the problem documented here is with a 3rd party software rather than Microsoft Edge. Specifically, the Vietnamese IME is improperly communicating with the browser. Any fix to this issue will have to be developed by the IME team.
