Steps to reproduce
<input type="number"> element in a form has a
min attribute and a user tries to submit the form with a value less than min, the validation message in the tooltip reads "Please enter a value greater than (value of min)". That’s incorrect - it should read "Please enter a value greater than or equal to (value of min)".
This bug in Edge appears to be identical to the already reported bug in IE11.
I did not check languages other than English; I do not know if they are also incorrect.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page with a form containing an
<input type="number" min="10">field and a submit
- Load the page in Edge.
- Enter “9” in the input box.
- Click submit.
- See the validation tooltip attached to the input box.

Thanks for the report, but the current text is mathematically correct, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strict. Now, I don’t disagree it could probably be made less obscure, but I can’t justify the effort this would require.
