Steps to reproduce

It’s currently not possible to avoid the print dialog when Control+P is pressed in Edge. The same issue is also available on IE11 but there exists a (nasty) workaround, described in the issue discussion at PDF.js 1.

Since we need to do asynchronous pre-processing before the print dialog can be shown, it is important that the default print dialog can be prevented.

  • Hi Philipp,

I tried to repro this but was not able to in Edge on Windows 10 16299.248.  I have attached my repro HTML file.  It is based on pdf.js’s polyfill code but without the workaround, E.g. the attachEvent()

    https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/blob/1731c0fb/web/mozPrintCallback_polyfill.js#L120-L128

Let me know what you think,

    Steve
