  • Attempting to run the browser from the command line yields a UI error message at least as opposed to silent crashes from the Start Menu: “The app didn’t start”

  • Hello,

This problem is fixed in RS4 and is available in our latest Insider Preview build 17083. This build is still considered experimental (not yet public stable until late spring of 2018), so you should be sure to have recovery options for Windows and your personal data before trying it. You can join the Insider Program by going to Start Menu > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program > Get Started button.

    Best Wishes,
    The MS Edge Team
