Steps to reproduce


I found with Microsoft Edge only if you have a link to an externally hosted file which is locked with htaccess and the link has the download attribute then it prompts for ‘Open/Save/Cancel’ but clicking Open or Save does nothing at all, only Cancel works. As soon as I drop the download attribute then I’m presented with the htaccess login form after filling that I receive the file.
