Steps to reproduce

Video captions can be turned on but not off. The last-shown caption is still visible and does not clear. In addition, native video controls are not responsive in this state.

Try running the following in a JSFiddle:

<video src="https://iandevlin.github.io/mdn/video-player-with-captions/video/sintel-short.mp4" crossorigin="anonymous" controls>
<track kind="captions" src="https://iandevlin.github.io/mdn/video-player-with-captions/subtitles/vtt/sintel-en.vtt">
</video>

Captions work fine if the video and text track are hosted on the same origin as the video player. This issue only occurs when loading cross-origin text tracks using crossorigin="anonymous" attribute.

Works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari. IE does not support cross-origin text tracks but this is a known issue.
