Steps to reproduce

when opening new windows using javascript window.open the parameter toolbar=0 no longer hides the favorites bar:

 <input type="button" value="Open popup" onclick="javascript:window.open('popup.html', '', 'width=690,height=465,resizable=1,scrollbars=0,menubar=0,toolbar=no,status=0');" />

This has been working with Edge prior to the latest 41.16299.15.0 build.

  • Hi Matt,

    Can you also provide the extended version of Windows 10 you are using?  Win  S and type “winver” and hit enter.

    I will take a look at this.

  • this is specific to this version of Microsoft Edge

    Microsoft Edge 41.16299.15.0
    Microsoft EdgeHTML 16.16299

  • when having “Show the favorites bar” set to “On” the favorites bar still shows on window.open("link", "", “toolbar=no”);

    is there a new Edge-specific parameter that needs to be set?
