  • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. After thorough testing, we are unable to reproduce this problem in Edge. You may want to first try running the former half of the command to see if the app you want is found.

    Get-AppxPackage *MyPackageName

This should list information about the app, such as the full Name, Publisher, ResourceId, Version, etc.

If that command does not work: ensure you start PowerShell as Administrator, ensure Edge is closed, and you may need to restart Windows and avoid starting Edge before trying again. If that command works, then proceed with the command to remove the app.

    Get-AppxPackage *MyPackageName

    • | Remove-AppxPackage

A confirmation notice should appear on the screen and then disappear. Now the app is gone from Edge. If you still have no success, please test this repro in our current public stable build (Edge 16299).

  • I have test it on almost 6 System where Microsoft Edge 38.14393.1066.0 installed. Found same issue in all systems.

Also test same on Microsoft Edge 41.16299.248.0 where it works fine.
