Steps to reproduce

I have made a range slider with two handles by overlaying to input elements of type range. I have set the pointer events to none on the input elements and to auto on the thumb using the -ms-thumb pseudo element. I expect the pointer events to pass to the thumb through the track and fills. I have made a codepen to demonstrate and opened a stackoverflow questiong to check if I’m missing something.
