Steps to reproduce

Create a report in SQL Server Reporting Services that has a dropdown list for parameter selection. (For example, a State Selector) Ensure there is no default value specified for the parameter.

Navigate to the report in Edge. You’ll see the dropdown, with the caption ‘<select a value>’

Select the FIRST item in the list.

The SECOND item in the list gets selected, and the first item is removed!

Select another item in the list.

Drop down the list again: The original first item has been returned to the list and can be selected.

Bug only happens in Edge. Chrome and IE are not affected. (Firefox and Safari are not installed.)

I’ve attached a flash (FLV) video demonstrating the bug.

Thanks.

  • Thanks for reporting this issue! Do you by chance have a test page handy that you could provide a URL for so we can investigate further?

  • Could you also confirm the EdgeHTML version you are currently using?

  • It’s been almost a month. I have since made many changes to the SSRS report in question. We also received the fall Windows update from our corporate servers last week. I’m not sure I can reproduce this any more with the current version of the report.

I have heard elsewhere on the internet that a later build of Edge fixed this bug.

I’ll see if I can’t reproduce this situation again tomorrow and report back.

  • Oh, BTW Microsoft Edge 41.16299.248.0
    Microsoft EdgeHTML 16.16299

    Changed Status to “Fixed”

  • Thanks. I’m going to close this as Fixed for now, but feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce in the future.
