  • Hey David,

The device needs to be enrolled in the Windows Insider Program to install FoD’s for insider builds. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program and setting up the ring you want the machine to be on. Once that’s done you should be able to rerun the command and it should pull down the appropriate build/flavor of MicrosoftWebDriver.exe for the machine.

  • It’s already on the insider program.

I said as much in the original report and, further, can’t that be derived from the Version: 10.0.17738.1000 ?

  • Seems to work in 10.0.17754.1

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> DISM.exe /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Microsoft.WebDriver~~~~

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.17754.1

    Image Version: 10.0.17754.1

    The operation completed successfully.

  • When will this be available for 1803 out of the box and patches with normal windows updates? I mean it has been out for now for 6 months. i need to install this on build machines and running fast ring for new features isn’t exactly feasible
