Thank you for contacting us about this issue! Based on the information provided, I was unable to replicate this problem in Microsoft Edge. I tested some various sites in japanese and was unable to reproduce the overlap. Could you provide me with a link or reproduction of this issue on the web or on a site such as https://jsfiddle.net/.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Zachariah,

    Thanks for the update.

I will wait to hear for the resolution. Hope to get this resolved soon.

Can I get to know the tentative date of this issue closure?

  • Hi Praveen!

Unfortunately, I have no information regarding a timeline. However, I can say that this issue does not reproduce in the current build of the chromium version of Microsoft Edge.

    Thanks,
    Zach

  • Hi Zachariah,

In the current of version of edge 44.17763.1.0, I am still able to see the text getting overlapped.

Are you saying that in the updated version of edge this issue is not seen?

    Please confirm.

  • Hi Praveen!

This issue does not reproduce for me in the most recent insider’s build of the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge. I believe that this version is publicly
    available for testing here: https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/.

    Thanks,

    Zach

  • Hi Zachariah,

We are using the desktop version of 44.17763.1.0. Would like to know is there any update available after this so that we can test and confirm for this issue!

  • Also can you attach a screen shot where you are not seeing this not happening.

  • And, also please confirm the Windows 10 build version along with edge version.

The windows build version we are using is 1809 and edge version is 44.17763.1.0

  • Hi Praveen!

This issues reproduces on Microsoft Edge 44.17763.1.0 Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.17763. However, the version that it doesn’t reproduce on is the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge which is still under development. You will not see this issue resolved until the new version is released.

    Thanks,

    Zach

  • Hi Zachariah

Would like to have confirmation, whether the update from Microsoft Edge 44.17763.1.0 to next version of windows 10 desktop, will this be addressed?

  • Hi Praveen!

Unfortunately, this as specific as I can be at the moment. The next release of Microsoft Edge is entirely dependent on when the developers can overcome the current issues in the Chromium version of the browser. The next version will be released soon but the official date
is currently undetermined. We appreciate your patience.

    Thanks,
    Zach

  • Hi Zachariah,

The desktop edge browser update depends on Android version of edge?

I hope this resolves in coming version of desktop edge update.

  • Hi Praveen!

We are actively working on replacing the desktop version of Microsoft Edge with a new browser based around the open-source Chromium core. I have provided a link to current build of this version in prior comments. The release of this version has no relation to the Android version.

    Thanks,

    Zach
