Steps to reproduce

I have 3 monitors. If test starts on minor monitor, I get
“org.openqa.selenium.interactions.MoveTargetOutOfBoundsException: The target for mouse interaction is not in the browser’s viewport and cannot be brought into that viewport.” on any step within selenium.interactions.Actions class in spite of webElement is fully visible in edge browser.

  • Hi Алексей!

Thank you for contacting us about this issue! Does this issue only happen with the MicrosoftWebDriver or does this happen with Chromedriver and geckodriver as well?

    Thanks.
    Zach

  • My ChromeDriver (76.0.3809.126) for current chrome browser on my PC (Version 76.0.3809.100) doesn’t reproduce it.
And on win 1803 it didn’t reproduce too.

  • Hi!

Thanks for getting back to me! I use the Actions class frequently without issue. In order for this problem to be actionable, I have to reproduce it locally. Could you provide me with a minimal reproduction if the issue?

    Thanks,

    Zach

  • I think, you can choose any selenium software configuration for build #18.18362.
You should get 2 monitors, at least, & make start another test in minor monitor.

  • Hi!

Thanks for getting back to me! My set up contains three monitors and I can run tests in all three without issue. The only issue with Actions that I am aware of is exclusive to the chromedriver. However, I will test this again if you can give me something more specific to run. It way be one particular action that has a problem.

    Thanks,

    Zach

  • Hello, Zach.
Today I’ve checked it & got bug again. Full error stackTrace in attachment.

    Dependencies in pom:

            org.seleniumhq.selenium
            selenium-server
            3.14.0

            org.seleniumhq.selenium
            selenium-java
            3.14.0

serverStandalone 3.141.59 (run tests in local PC throw the the local hub & node)

    Getting web driver:
    WebDriver driver = WebDriverPool.DEFAULT.getDriver(new URL(Env.nodeUrl), capabilities);

what else could I provide to you?

  • Hi!

I need a code snippet or project I can run that will reproduce the error. This should not be your whole project but rather a minimal reproduction. It is important for me to be able to reproduce the issue locally for it to be actionable.

    Thanks,

    Zach
