  • Hello,

    We sincerely
    appreciate your feedback.
    To investigate
this issue further, could you please provide us the browser version and build that you are seeing this behavior on? Also, could you please elaborate on what you mean by "selecting *.mpg"? Because you cant use a wildcard in the selection menu.

Thank you in advance for the clarification. This will
    help our investigation.

    Best
    regards,

    The MS Edge

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the fast answer.
The first time when we seed that defect was in Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0, Microsoft EdgeHTML 17.17134 versions, possible that was and earlier versions too.
Currently, I have Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1038.0 and Microsoft EdgeHTML 17.17134 versions and the defect still reproduced.

In a sample, the test.html page that attached to my first message is an input filed with type “file” and onChange event bound to a simple javascript function that calls 'alert’.

When you choose any file type in input the alert shown correctly but when you choose any file with .mpg extension the alert not shown.

Also, you can take any file, do some copies and change extension manually, then you can try to choose them one by one and onChange will rise for everyone except .mpg files.

    Best Regards.
