    • Issue: Edge reopens viruslike site url ( http://0x1349002-virus.info/en/?id=KzEgKDg4OCkgOTc4LTcwNjE ) when Edge is opened even after pc is shut down and restarted. Internet options still shows normal msn startup url. Action is similar to when browser shut down and attempting to recover all open pages, but permission is not requested; it happens without asking permission. Then edge cannot normally be closed and the offending tab cannot be closed. Windows Defender is running and a scan does not find a problem. The problem was started by clicking on a Facebook link. I was able to finally get out of this vicious loop by using task manager to shut down Edge, then reopening it and adding a new tab with wifi service turned off, then closing the offending tab. After doing that, closing and reopening Edge resulted in normal open to regular msn homepage.

    • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. We confirmed the problem, and implemented a solution on a later build of Edge. We are resolving this issue as a duplicate of an existing internal bug report. We look forward to additional feedback you may have on how we can improve Microsoft Edge.

      Best Wishes,
      The MS Edge Team
