Steps to reproduce
and then display the developer tool console… refresh the page to show suppressed console messages and errors.
the console of Developer tools shows:
HTML1524: Invalid HTML5 DOCTYPE. Consider using the interoperable form "<!DOCTYPE html>".
File: iframe-contentdocument.aspx, Line: 1, Column: 1
click on the HTML1524 link in the developer tool console to navigate to the online documentation.
If a non-html5 DTD is encountered
then display a warning that the current document type declaration does not support some of the latest html5 specifications. Consider updating your page to the html5 spec by replacing the DTD with the HTML5 DTD.
If no DTD is encountered (and the page renders with either (compatMode="BackCompat" or “CSSCompat”) then warn that “Near Standards” rendering is being used…
if the documentMode<10 (viz: the page is being rendered as preIE10 Quirks) warn that the page is being rendered in IE5 Quirks mode… consider adding a valid DTD to the page.
