Steps to reproduce

URL:

Repro Steps:

Make a static web page with a <DIV> that when rendered has horizontal and vertical scroll bars with an element at the very bottom off the page, like so:

<HTML>
<HEAD><TITLE>TESTING EDGE SCROLL BUG</TITLE>
<STYLE>
html,body{
height: 2000px;
width: 2000px;
}

#header{
background-color: yellow;
height: 100px;
width: 100%;
}

#scrollMe {
min-height: 100%;
position:relative;
}

#body {
padding-bottom: 100px;
}

#footer{
background-color: lime;
bottom: 0;
height: 100px;
left: 0;
position: absolute;
right: 0;
}
</STYLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<div id="scrollMe">
<div id="header">Header</div>
<div id="body"><p>Blah blah</p></div>
<div id="footer">Footer
<br/>
<FORM id=’form’ action="javascript:void(0);" >
<INPUT id=’clickMe’ type=’checkbox’ name=’clickMe’ value=’0’ /> CLICK ME <BR/>
</FORM>
</div>
</div>
</BODY>
</HTML>

MicrosoftWebDriver will fail to click the #clickMe button with a webdriver.FindElement(By.Id(“clickMe”)).Click() command due to a bug in the auto-scrolling logic.

Expected Results:

The expected behavior would be to factor in the pixels occupied by the bottom scroll bar and factor that into the amount of scroll-down required to make the entire web element visible

Actual Results:

Dev Channel specific:

No

    • This looks to be fixed in the latest build, most likely due to a bug fix around scrolling elements into view.
