Steps to reproduce

If we have markup as such:

<a>
  <button>
    <span>Foo</span>
  </button>
</a>

We will fail to return the link text "Foo". If it’s all in one line, as it is below, it will return:

<a><button><span>Foo</span></button></a>

    • This appears to be fixed based on feedback details we see here. If you still see this as an active issue please feel free to reactivate it.

    • I am using Selenium Webdriver to automate browser certification.
      IE and various other browsers had no issues with performing the tests, but almost all of the tests fail on Edge due to the linkText not being found
