Steps to reproduce


Repro Steps:

To reproduce:
Give focus to any of the abovementioned search boxes, behaving or not.
Press Alt+Shift to turn on IME if it is off.
If the input mode is not Chinese, press Shift to switch over.
Observe that the input mode is Chinese.
Press Alt+Shift to turn IME off.
Press Alt+Shift to turn IME back on.
Observe that the Chinese input mode is persisted in a behaving box, but reverted to alphanumeric in a misbehaving one.

Expected Results:

In any search box, default IME should be respected, otherwise, user set IME should be persisted.
