Repro Steps:

Here is an example web page that has a button which will trigger modal alert when clicked:

<HTML>
<HEAD><TITLE>Test page with alert modal dialog</TITLE></HEAD>

<BODY>
<BR>
<TABLE id=’table’ border=’1’>
<TR><TD align=’center’>This is a test page with an alert modal dialog</TD></TR>
<TR><TD align=’center’><BUTTON id=’clickMe’ onClick=’javascript:alert(“Modal ALERT!”);’>Click Me</BUTTON></TD></TR>
</TABLE>
</BODY>
</HTML>

Here is some sample c# WebDriver code that locks up after the click:

this.WebDriver.Url = URL_FOR_PAGE_SHOWN_ABOVE;
this.WebDriver.FindElement(By.Id(“clickMe”)).Click(); // Everything locks up after this command executes
this.WebDriver.SwitchTo().Alert().Accept();

Expected Results:

Other browsers that conform to the WebDriver standard allow for switching to the Alert interface and issuing accept() or dismiss() calls.

Actual Results:

    • In which version it was fixed?
      I tried Microsoft WebDriver Fall 2015 Update (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49962)
      Win 10 build 10585.164, MS Edge 25.10586.0.0 and MS EdgeHTML 13.10586
      and there modal alerts still handles Edge browser.
      Where I can download newer Microsoft WebDriver version ?
