    • With the address of any website selected, highlighted, it is impossible to drag the address to the desktop to create a link to the highlighted address. Works in every other browser except Edge.

    • Getting real tired of this getting flagged as not repeatable. Until I can drag an address from the edge window to the desktop to make a shortcut I will NEVER USE THIS EXCUSE OF A BROWSER!

This feedback falling on deaf ears is rather upsetting. Microsoft has lost it’s way since Bill left.

I see now that there is NO sense in giving feedback of any kind. It’s ignored, and thrown away.

    • Hello,

Sorry about the issues you have been experiencing with our new issue tracker. We are working hard to ensure that feedback such as yours
is not ignored. For the record, I am able to reproduce the exact behavior you described in your initial comments.

This item was closed out as not repro but instead it should be closed as by design since this feature was shipped without this feature intentionally.  I have updated the item of feedback to reflect this.

Please continue to provide us with feedback as frequently as possible as it allows us to know which features are most important to our users.

With that being said, the actual item you filed has been previously filed by other users and can be seen in a couple of places:

      1.) https://wpdev.uservoice.com/forums/257854-microsoft-edge-developer/suggestions/11370033-website-shortcuts-on-pc-desktop-using-edge
2.) The Feedback Hub / Windows Feedback app accessible from the start menu in Windows 10.

We recommend that you upvote one, or both (if you wish) of the feedback items above so that we can prioritize these features you have requested into Edge going forward.

The portal you provided this item to is new and we are working to streamline the process so that issues such as this do not happen again. Please accept our most sincere apologies for the frustration and errors caused by us. We look forward to more feedback that you have in the future.

      All the best,
      The MS Edge Team

    • I will start using EDGE when I can drag a link to the desktop. I will NEVER EVER not in a 100 hundred years use it until then. I do NOT save miscellaneous shortcuts inside ANY browser. I will continue to use any browser (except EDGE) the same way without worrying about bookmarks , I will NOT be tied to a specific browser. better wake up MS and forget your little mining scheme, it won’t happen. nice try, might work on the little sheep that do not know any better… for a while lol.
