Steps to reproduce

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/new/ You know whats funny: Edge is so buggy that your own developer site does not work well on it. When I click "Open this issue", half the time Edge says ‘loading’ and then gets stuck. Your browser is so buggy it cannot even be used to report its own bugs!

    • This is a snarky issue report but immediately marking it as “not reproducible” is unfair - I’ve had lots of problems with this web-site including the one reported in this issue.

    • Having a little more information will help considerably; are there dropped network requests, are the page ever load at all (if you wait a little longer)? Unfortunately, without this information, the problem cannot be more thoroughly understood.

    • Sometimes the next page loads (with the details) after significant waiting. Sometimes nothing happens for minutes. Works well and fast on Chrome, like everything else that does not work in Edge.

    • Actually I haven’t seen this specific issue (I was responding to the title and didn’t read / interpret the report properly) but - based on the web-site issues I have seen - I have no doubt that the original reporter was genuine (if snarky). The issues I’ve seen are with this web-site.

      What I’ve commonly seen is navigating to an existing issue report and the the page reports some problem and the URL has ‘#error’ tacked on the end.

      Other problems are:

      • The “Participating” tab in the “Browse issues” section of the issue tracker entry page says that I’m not participating in any issues.

      • Many issues are marked as duplicates but no link to the other issue report(s).

      • No user-name associated with the initial issue report. For example, if someone looked at this issue report they might assume it was me who created it.

      • No date of the initial issue report

      • A lot of issues are copied from the site but without descriptions / validations / comments / work-arounds and without links to the original report.

      • If I search for an issue the results aren’t paged or dynamically loaded.
        I’m also dubious that all related issues are being found. For example, if I search for “script” it looks like there’s 50 issue reports, yet the old-site reports 614 active issues.

    • Also, some of the links from the old site to the new site are invalid. (By chance the first two that I checked we invalid but I have now seen several that are correct)

      e.g. old-1776195 reports that it is now being tracked as new-4897406 which is in fact a “Page not found” and the actual issue is new-4561410

      Also,
      old-781109 says follow-up at new-150223 but this should probably be new-110886

    • Sorry about the delay and thank you for reporting these issues.  These were all known issues once we made the transition and we are working to improve in all of the areas you mentioned. The item is marked as not repro because there is no other category we have to mark public feedback with the issue tracker itself. Our apologies.
