Steps to reproduce

  1. Close MS Edge with 2 or more tab
  2. Click close all tab
  3. Not responding when close MS Edge Program
    Please Fix This, its not happen when I use safari or chrome

  • This is actually a big problem and one I often encounter several times a day. You have a couple of tabs open, you then click ‘close’ at top right and the usual ‘Do you want to close all tabs’ message box appears. You confirm and nothing happens. The only way to close Edge at this point is to either close each tab individually or use task manager. Often one of the tabs reports as ‘not responding’ when you hover over it to close although there was never any issue when the tab was in use.

  • I have also had to kill Edge using Task Manager many times:(
    Not good Edge team, not good at all.
    Time to take it seriously, and start looking at the Reliability History uploads.
    Just because you can’t reproduce it on your systems, doesn’t mean it isn’t common on others.

  • I no longer have this problem with build 14905.

  • I cannot repro, but I have seen this issue too on Edge 38.14393.0.0 / EdgeHTML 14.14393

  • yes still some issue in Edge when closing, Microsoft edge stop responding. w10 14393.187 less frequent then previous build. when can we expect this to be solve? will it be in 14905 and when is this coming for stable version?

  • We were able to find the root cause of this and released a fix for this. It should be available publicly soon, although we do not have an exact estimate on when this will be.
