Steps to reproduce

I run processes on two of my machines which won’t work unless UAC is completely turned off via the registry. Unfortunately, Edge will not work with UAC disabled. You do allow a few Windows Apps to run with UAC disabled, mostly having to do with system configuration. Because I cannot use Edge I will continue using Chrome. As android begins to work better as a desktop I will change to that if necessary. I fail to see the need to prevent Edge from working with UAC disabled, especially if you tout the functionality so much.

    • Hello,

Thanks for the feedback on Edge. Edge is not designed to work with UAC off as it is a UWP application. As a result, this item is being closed as By Design.

      All the best,
      The MS Edge Team
