Steps to reproduce

I have a button in web page which uses 'window.close()' to close the window. 'window.close()' is not working if print is cancelled.

  1. Open Print window(Ctrl+P) and click ‘Cancel’ to cancel the print.
  2. Try clicking on the button which has 'window.close()' function. Window not closed and nothing happens. Even there is no warning/error message in the console.
PFA document for the Window.close() issue in EDGE browser.
Attached the below items in the document:
  1. Document with Issue in Edge browser - Windows 10
  2. Document without issue in IE11 browser - Windows 10
  3. Parent.html
  4. Child.html
Mentioned all the step to reproduce the issue with window.close(). We tried all possible solutions but no luck. :(
Could you please suggest us on the issue. As we are not able to move further in EDGE browser (window.close();)
    Thank you

  • Hey folks - this issue has been fixed via a duplicate issue so I have resolved it as such. I spun up a VM of the branch with the fix, tested it and recorded the results and attached the mp4 (sorry the perf is a bit bad but I’m working from home today over VPN :) ) but it shows that it has been fixed. Thank you all so much for providing the feedback.
