  • Different repro and stack, but probably similar root cause:

    BugId: RecursiveCall 653.9cf.25e.51e.fb7.7b4.c8e.f9f.020

  • It appears I forgot to add the second repro, here it is:

  • No, I did not forget to attach it; the bugtracker has a bug where it does not allow me to upload a file with the same name as a file already attached to the bug, but rather than reporting an error it pretends that the upload was successful.

    Here’s the repro:

  • Btw. "vw", “vh” and “vmin” are affected, “vmax” appears not to be implemented yet.

  • Thank you for the feedback. This issue appears to be not reproducible in the current public build 10586. Your feedback is extremely helpful as it helps us to improve the quality of Microsoft Edge. We continue to welcome more feedback and look forward to hearing from you again soon.

    All the best,
    The MS Edge Team

  • These repros all cause stack exhaustion:

    These all cause NULL pointer crashes:

  • FSCKING FIX THIS SITE I can’t even include the repro in the comments, as it strips out html!

  • Added NULL ptr.html and Recursion.html.

  • Another repro (square brackets replaced with curly braces to be able to copy+paste it.)
    {h style=kerning:7vw}

  • Thanks, we’re investigating this.  Apologies for the issues with the site. We’re working on improvements to avoid overwriting the files with the same name.  For providing code in the comments, please use Markdown.  (See for examples, similar to GitHub issues if you’ve used that).  This should preserve your code as written and you won’t have to swap out braces and such. :-)

  • I would, but your implementation of Markdown is unreliable and incomplete. I’ve already mentioned this before in a separate bug, but please feel free to check that somebody is working on those site issues as well :)
