Steps to reproduce

  • Open http://jsfiddle.net/SD5cK/97/ with edge v20 (or create a webpage with scroll events handled by an svg element, with another svg element as an overlay with pointer-events: none)
  • Verify that you can drag through the chart by clicking and dragging on top of the yellow circle.
  • Verify that you can zoom by mouse-wheel scrolling on top of the yellow circle
  • Open http://jsfiddle.net/SD5cK/97/ with edge 25.10586.0.0
  • Verify that you can drag through the chart by clicking and dragging on top of the yellow circle.
  • Verify that there is a regression, where you are unable to zoom by mouse-wheel scrolling on top of the yellow circle
This behavior can be worked around for a simplistic example by putting an interactive control always on top, but this is not possible for a more interactive application that relies on this feature to work.
