Steps to reproduce

On rendering an SVG section the Microsoft Edge Content Process (MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe) keeps growing (Memory private working set) and the CPU usage maxes out a core. The browser hangs (it is possible to scroll the current page up and down, but the rendering of the SVG bar charts does not happen). I had to kill the browser from the Task Explorer.
Microsoft Edge 25.10586.0.0
Microsoft EdgeHTML 13.10586
On Windows 10 Pro, 16 GB RAM, Core i7, 64 bit
To reproduce, render the React Google Charts examples at the URL (http://rakannimer.github.io/react-google-charts/#!/examples/BarCharts)
Chrome renders the page quickly without problems, same for Firefox.

      Changed Status to “Fixed”

    • Hello,

This appears to be fixed in later builds. I tested this in 10586 and it crashed the browser whereas in 14331.1000 it did not. As a result of these findings I will mark the item as fixed.

      All the best,

    • Microsoft Edge runs okay after reboot, but eventually hangs. Running task master shows a number of Microsoft Edge Content Processes running. If I close Edge and reopen it I have a blank page and it won’t load.
