  • Hello,

Thanks for providing us with feedback on Edge. This does not seem to crash the browser at all based on my testing. Are you able to provide more context on the problem being reported please?

    Best regards,
    The MS Edge Team

  • It seems the duplicate bug I opened has more information, including a repro file, which I’ll add here as well. The repro file’s extension is xhtml as this should be served with the xhtml media type (application/xhtml+xml). If you serve this with media type text/html it will not crash Edge. (Tested with 10586).

  • The file AVR.NULL+4.N 670.b00 microsoftedgecp.exe!edgehtml.dll!CTreePos…GetBranch.html contains debugging and version details in case you want to look at a stack trace and such.

  • This also affects MSIE 11

  • This is fixed in the internal builds and will be part of the anniversary update of Windows 10.
