Steps to reproduce

Apply CSS filters and 3D transforms to the same element or to nested elements with preserve-3D.

I haven’t been able to narrow this down to a nice test case, because I seem to be getting far too many different results from slightly different code. Some test cases to start your investigation:

(filters don’t seem to be applied at all)

(filters should be applied to outer/inner elements on hover/activate, but incorrect filters are being applied and inner 3D element disappears in some cases)

    • Confirmed repro, even on latest builds.

In addition to the brightness filter not getting applied, I’m seeing a repaint error where the repaint rectangles are not being correctly computed as the shapes animate, leaving lingering triangles around the screen. Unfortunately, neither of my screenshot tools are successfully capturing the repaint problem.
