Steps to reproduce

Repro:

<body onload="s=’

The repro creates 256 nested <dir style=height:1;column-count:999> elements, which causes Edge to consume CPU. Remove either style property and rendering is instantaneous.

An HTML file that simply contains “<dir style=height:1;column-count:999>” repeated many times has the same effect (i.e. this problem is not cause by the Javascript for loop).
