Steps to reproduce

Region of typing for Facebook chat will simply vanish (but the element is actually still there, just not being rendered) upon scrolling down the news feed.

Step to reproduce:

  1. Open facebook.com

  2. Click on anyone on the chat window so the chat region will open (usually on the bottom right)

  3. Use mouse scroll to scroll down on the news feed.

  4. After a few scroll (which initiate the page to fetch for more status update on the news feed), the chat region will vanish. User will have to scroll back to the top of the news feed to get it back, or refresh the page.
