Steps to reproduce

I downloaded the Win10 Edge Stable and WIn10 Edge Preview VM (VMware) from the below mentioned site
https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/windows/.

After Downloading the Zip file , I extract the zip file and imported VM.
2.After Importing Win10 Edge Stable VM, I got the "Recover your PC..." error message . I attached Image1 for error message reference.
3.After Importing Win10 Edge pre-view VM, It was not opening.

I didn’t face this issue in other VM (VMware) such as Win7,Win8.1 . SO issue only with Win10VM

    Changed Status to “Not reproducible”

  • We are not able to repro this as described with the steps provided.

I was able to download the preview VM we provide in the VMWare format and get the snapshot running without any problems.

Please provide more detailed steps so that we can better assist.  In the meantime I will resolve out the item as not repro.

Essentially, I downloaded the preview version, extracted the files, and then double clicked the vmx file which then loaded the virtual machine.  From there I started it and encountered no issues with the image.  There are a variety of issues that could have caused this - perhaps even something as simple as re-downloading the images might help.

    All the best,
    The MS Edge Team

  • Please try to download VMware zip . (Platform is Vmware)

After double clicking “IE9 - Win7.ovf” -> I am getting the error mentioned attached image.

Could you please try the platform : VMware.

I am sure this is only with win10 Vmware zip file because Win7,Win8.1 Vmware is working fine in my machine.
