Steps to reproduce

Edge is draining battery like anything.
Both my mobile and Surface pro 4 the major culprit for battery life is Edge.
Especially on phone it is heating up my phone and draining battery heavily like 40-50 % in my 950XL for an hour use.

  • I’m having the same problem with my Surface Pro 4 that I just bought a month ago. Edge is wreaking havoc on the battery.

    On a fresh bootup, with fully charged battery, my battery life (in battery saver mode) is about 9 hours. As soon as I start surfing with Edge, it drops to about 3. And Edge consistently shows as the largest source of battery drain.

    Same problem with enormous battery usage by MS Edge - 82%. See attached file wp_ss_20170312_0002.png .
    I’m always charging my phone when I have to work on it for a longer period.
