Steps to reproduce

Basically, open a website like Neowin.net and go to an article. Every now and then, Edge will just start reloading the page, after the pages is loaded, it will reload again when that’s done it reloads a third time only to give a “This page is having a problem loading”-error back. I’ve seen this happen since build 14332 (I think, could be earlier). It doesn’t happen on all devices, but my Surface Pro 4 is affected by this, so is my HP Pavilion Mini and 2 Acer Aspires. Other devices here work just fine, and devices that are affected do it randomly, there is no clear pattern for what a site does before this behavior starts.

    • I think I am affected by the same issue. It’s very hard to say because it’s so random. I’ve noticed this behavior when running selenium tests. Sometimes (at random points) the page reloads which causes the selenium driver to hang.

    • Thank you for the feedback. I have been unsuccessful reproducing this issue on both latest public build 10586.420 and the Insider Preview 14367. Could you please confirm this issue for the latest versions?

    • It could be that some advertisements are the reason for the crashes. They are country related and will be delivered randomly. For me in Germany it is not crashing with build 14393.51 on desktop and notebook.

    • I have had this problem for some time on my Windows Phone (current insider version of Win10 Mobile). It happens on almost any web site and make browsing almost impossible. The first page stays up for about a minute before the redisplay and then problem-loading page.

Today it also happened on my Win10 desktop on a certain page (www.fivethirtyeight.com). It was repeatable so I tried with Fiddler and it did not indicate any 301’s or 302’s or anything really noticeable.

      It’s very annoying!

    • Edge reloads and open a new page and crashes. Now it’s a problem for me and I don’t know what to do. Have reset several times but no luck.

      Changed Status to “Not reproducible”

    • We have released a lot of fixes for various crashes lately and are also no longer able to repro this crash.
