Steps to reproduce
Open the Edge browser
Close the Edge browser
Open IE 11
Visit any website
Press F12 to load the inspector
Basically after this the browser is hanging, crashing, not doing anything, have to force quit. Sometimes if you leave it for half hour it recovers.
Only solution is to restart PC

That will help us reproduce and investigate the issue. Between opening and closing the Edge browser, are you visting any particular site or opening F12? Can you reproduce this consistently?
