Steps to reproduce

I’ve got some problems with Microsoft Edge browser after I’ve changed my windows user name. There’ve been some problems with applications that have been working incorrectly cause I had cyrrylic symbols in my user name. So I followed the guide attached to one of issues here to change it ( I’ve changed it in accounts section and also corrected the registry).
After that all was fine, every application, including other browsers like Chrome, Opera are working ok.

One of problems that appeared is that I’m getting some strange errors in edge when page is using some scripts. I think this may be caused by my recent change of user acc (maybe edge is not using registry, but caches the path to user directory?). I’ve attached one of console errors as image.
The errors from other web pages are all giving the same description - Permission denied.

Best regards,
Daniil Ekzaryan

  • Thanks for your feedback on Edge. We have not experienced this problem yet.  Are you still seeing this after you apply the anniversary update (build: 14393.10) to your current computer that you see this on?
