    • The SVG 2.0 draft deprecates xml:space in favor of CSS white-space property. Deprecate does not mean abandon, and the 2.0 spec still wants support for xml:space so that SVG 1.1 files will display correctly. Many illustration programs set preserve so users are not confused by disappearing spaces.

      Here’s a test fragment that can embed in HTML:

    • Well, the above result was a shock: the SVG showed as text in the preview, but it displays as SVG in the result. I’ll try to make it work.

    • That didn’t work, either. I though I entered XML without trouble in the past…
